Municipalities Information
Alex Cam is the Vice-President of Cam’s Catering Company, Inc. He’s a graduate of Auburndale High School and received his Associate’s degree from Polk State College. Mayor Cam serves on the Board of Directors for the Auburndale Rotary Club, and previously served on the Board of Directors for The Greater Auburndale Chamber of Commerce; where he also served as its President from 2020-2023. Additionally, Mayor Cam previously served on the City of Auburndale’s Police Officer’s Pension Board. He was elected to the Auburndale City Commission in 2023. Mayor Cam is married to his wife, Brittany, and enjoys playing soccer and spending time with family.
Jordan Helms is a lifelong resident of the Auburndale area and a graduate of Auburndale High School. He is a member of Berkley Chapel and serves as a drummer in the worship ministry. He has spent the last 16 years working in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing Industry, including 9 years at the Coca-Cola Main Street facility here in town. Most of that time was spent as a project & program manager, but currently he is working in technical sales for multiple industries. Jordan married his high school sweetheart Ashley in 2005 and they have two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, and all things Gator Football.
Sean Levy is happily married to fellow Auburndale High School graduate Kristin. Together they’re raising three awesome kids: Brooklyn, Londyn, and Asher.
By day, Sean is the Purchasing Manager at Cavco Industries (you might still know it as Palm Harbor Homes). A lifelong Gator fan (UF Finance ’00, MBA ’05), he spends his free time coaching Little League, planning the next family adventure, worshiping at Grace City Church in Lakeland and helping his wife with any projects she needs done to support her boutique “The Modern Pearl.” Go Gators!
Crystal Tijerina grew up in Auburndale and, after spending several years away, returned to the community she proudly calls home. She graduated from Auburndale High School in 2003 before earning her bachelor’s degree from Warner University in 2008 and her MBA in Organizational Management in 2014. Crystal has built a 19-year career with State Farm, where she serves as an Injury Claims Team Manager. Before securing her seat on the City Commission, she contributed to community development through her service on the city’s Planning Commission. Crystal and her husband Dan Tijerina, are the proud parents of three children: Ava, Gabe, and Maverick. The family spends much of their time supporting their older kids in competitive soccer. The family attends Heartland Church in Winter Haven. Outside of her professional and civic responsibilities, Crystal enjoys playing tennis and keeping up with her monthly book club reads.
Travis Avery has called Auburndale home for over 25 years, moving here from Lakeland where he grew up and graduated from Lake Gibson High School. Travis retired in October 2025 as a sergeant in law enforcement from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after 25 years of service and is now a real estate advisor for RLK Real Estate & Development. He holds an Associate in Arts degree in criminal justice from Polk Community College (2003), Bachelor of Science degree in Business Professional Leadership and a MBA from Southeastern University (2009, 2016). Travis has served on the board of directors for the Auburndale Chamber of Commerce and the Auburndale Police Pension Board.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Lynette Avery, and they have three beautiful daughters. Travis and his family faithfully attend and serve at Epic Church. In his free time, he and his extended family operate Burning Bush Outreach, a local BBQ ministry. He also enjoys all things outdoors and traveling to new places with his family and friends.
